We are looking for a Financial
Accounting Manager / Chief Accountant to support the Finance Head in managing financial accounting activities, supply chain finance, internal processes and team development.
1. Financial Accounting:
- Support the Finance Head in monitoring and managing the Accounting team.
Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) input and management.
- Manage General Ledger (GL) posting and reconciliation for all accounts.
Coordinate the monthly/periodic closing schedule and work closely with the Management Accountant.
- Perform inventory and GL reconciliation.
- Ensure tax compliance and timely submission of statutory reports.
- Monitor accounting activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies and regulations.
2. Supply Chain Finance Management:
- Monitor inventory and support customer service activities from a finance perspective.
- Take a key role in forecasting and coordination between Demand Planning and Inventory Optimization.
- Coordinate shipment clearance and resolve issues with Customs Clearance Agents (CHA), 3PLs and suppliers.
- Monitor input costs and support COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) calculation and management.
- Work closely with relevant departments to ensure effective inventory and cost management.
3. Office Management & Internal Process:
- Support the setup and implementation of internal company processes.
- Contribute to team development and capability building.
- Set up and monitor team KPIs and performance appraisal.
- Monitor legal updates and support relevant filing/documentation when required.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Line Manager and Management Team.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in Accounting/Finance, with experience at mid-level or managerial level.
- Strong experience in financial accounting, including AP, AR, GL, reconciliation, closing, inventory accounting, tax compliance and statutory reporting.
- Experience in Supply Chain Finance, inventory management, forecasting or cost/COGS management is highly preferred.
- Experience working with Oracle or SAP.
- High level of English proficiency, with the ability to communicate and work effectively in English.
- Experience in team management, KPI setting and performance appraisal.
- Good understanding of internal process development and implementation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, suppliers and external partners.
- Experience with budget management of up to 60 million is preferred/required depending on the company's internal budget scope.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a multinational or international working environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, trading, supply chain or a similar business environment.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain and Operations.
