About the Role
In this role you will work both independently and together with our national development team on building modern and engaging websites, web-based experiences, mobile applications, HTML banners, and email templates. You will work closely with our user experience and design teams to collaboratively create solutions for our varied Australian and international clients.
Reports to: Chief Technology & Innovation Officer
Key Responsibilities:
Technical output
• Building engaging and dynamic websites, landing pages and mobile applications.
• Theming major CMS-driven websites as part of a team of developers.
• Applying and communicating best practices in web development, in areas such as accessibility and performance.
• Building other HTML-based marketing assets, such as HTML banners and email templates.
• Works closely with visual and experience designers to ensure the interface meets the visual
design and user experience requirements.
• Collaborates with back-end developers and system architects within and outside of WT on
broader digital transformation engagements and platform delivery.
• Support Wunderman Thompson new business processes and efforts as required.
People
• Invest in key relationships; promote collaboration and encourage open communication.
• Hold stakeholders within and outside of the development team accountable for following correct development team processes.
• Identify and raise any talent issues - help the Digital Solutions Lead set high benchmark
standards and hold the development team accountable for exceeding output and delivery
expectations.
• Regularly review technology trends, capabilities and applications and promote these with the
development team
• Lead by example the Wunderman Thompson behaviours, contribute to culture and enhance
employee experience.
Operations & Delivery
• Ensure that Wunderman Thompson meets or exceeds development team delivery expectations by checking work thoroughly, working to resource plans, hour allocations and meeting agreed
deadlines.
• Suggest improvements for systems and or processes that could improve quality of work or
delivery
