Furniture Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
• The Furniture Engineer need to be a master of the Ashley standards and requirements. Be able to provide the technical support and trainings to the quality teams on the daily audits and process improvements, including but not limit to the sanding, gluing, whitewood assembly, jig & fixture and product finishing process, etc.
• Work closely with Quality team in Ashley vendors together, audit the processes and make sure vendor teams follow the correct process to meet Ashley standards and requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Engineering standard and process creation, improvement and revision.
• Work with Ashley Quality team in the Ashley vendors together, audit the whitewood process, finishing process, warehouse audit, step color panel system, jig & fixture verification, do out of box quality inspection and the etc.
• Lead and follow up the Process/Quality related projects (Drawer jigs, finish test, etc.)
• Train internal quality team and vendor teams on product standards, requirements, process and Process/Quality projects, including creating and following up on training tracking records.
• Create and update engineering documentations (AIS, RPDF, CTN, ECO, SKU specifications, etc.)
• Work in the new product launch and provide supports, follow up the whole PPR process in the assigned QA team's vendor.
• System and database maintenance (CLS completion, QIS project created and update, Workflow documents upload, PPR CARs closure, etc.)
• System improvements and training, such as Power BI, Dominator, QIS, and the etc.
• Responsible for the compliance and regulatory and coordinate on the testing samples preparation and follow-up, labels review and confirmation.
• Other tasks assigned by direct manager.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Furniture Engineer is responsible for all of the above for CVRO or WBOC.
