- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
- Provide advice to business users on payment and tax matters as needed.
- Ensure that financial information adheres to Company policies and local regulations.
- Gather supporting documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Enter financial data, including accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and intercompany transactions, into the ledger monthly.
- Reconcile monthly actual expenses with project planning costs.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheets and sub-ledgers to general ledger accounts.
- Perform month-end and year-end closings.
- Prepare accurate accounting reports in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
- Convert to VAS accounts and prepare financial statements under local regulations.
- Support internal audits and collaborate with external auditors during financial audits.
- Review monthly VAT declarations.
- Perform monthly WHT declarations and other taxes (if any), reconciling returns with ledgers.
- Review annual/quarterly CIT calculations.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in GL accounting or a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
- Experience in accounting and business management software, such as SAP/Oracle JDE/D365.
- Strong ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
- ACCA or CPA certification is preferred.
- Initiative: Demonstrate a thirst to understand how your role fits in and seeks opportunities by yourself to contribute beyond own role without being told by others;
- Adaptability: Shows agility and flexibility to easily adjusts yourself into any changes in working situations and develop the understandings on the changes on situations; and
- Ownership: Takes responsibility for own actions and learns from experience.

Grant Thornton Vietnam is an independent member firm of Grant Thornton International and was established in 1993. Initially it was a joint venture with Concetti. In 1997, Grant Thornton Vietnam was converted to a 100% foreign owned enterprise, and opened a branch in Ho Chi Minh City.

In 2013, we were more than excited to celebrate our 20 years Anniversary in Vietnam. It has been a gratifying and successful endeavour as we have grown from our first days in 1993 to who we are today. Also in this year, Grant Thornton Vietnam has been listed as the only foreign invested firm that has been permitted to determine the value of 100-per-cent state-owned enterprises by the Ministry of Finance Vietnam.
2014 has marked another milestone. From 1st July 2014, Grant Thornton Vietnam Ltd and Nexia ACPA Auditing & Consulting Co Ltd ("ACPA") are to merge officially. The merged firm will be part of the Grant Thornton global network and will practice under the Grant Thornton name. The merger brings together a leading professional services firm in Vietnam with an excellent combination of professional team of 14 partners and more than 220 professional staff in offices located in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2015, Grant Thornton Vietnam was listed as the only foreign invested firm that has been permitted to determine the value of 100-per-cent state-owned enterprises by Ministry of Finance Vietnam. In 2016, we remain dedicated to delivering solutions to meet our clients' current and future needs, and continue to be focused on helping our clients to unlock the growth potential of their business.
In 2018, we are very excited to celebrate our 25 years anniversary in Vietnam.
In 2019, management board welcomed a female Partner; this aligned with the Grant Thornton global strategy in diversity in leadership.
