Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations in an electronics production environment. This role ensures that production targets are met, quality standards are upheld, and that the production team operates efficiently and safely. The Production Supervisor will manage a team of operators and technicians, ensuring optimal production processes while working closely with engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Supervision: Lead, train, and manage production staff, including operators and technicians, to meet production goals in terms of quantity, quality, and efficiency.
• Production Planning: Oversee the daily production schedule, ensure timely completion of orders, and adjust workforce allocation as needed to meet production targets.
• Process Optimization: Implement and maintain lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that production processes follow quality standards and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with the QA team to resolve any quality issues on the production floor.
• Equipment Management: Ensure that equipment is maintained and operated in a safe and efficient manner, coordinating with the maintenance team for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety procedures and standards, ensuring that all team members follow health and safety guidelines and that the production area remains safe, clean, and organized.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes that increase productivity and reduce downtime.
• Inventory & Materials: Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure materials are available for production and manage inventory levels to prevent overstock or shortages.
• Training & Development: Provide ongoing training for team members on new equipment, processes, and safety practices. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to production, such as equipment malfunctions, quality defects, or workforce challenges in a timely manner.
• Reporting: Monitor and report on key production metrics, including output, efficiency, downtime, and waste. Provide feedback to upper management on production performance.
