About FathomX
FathomX is a Digital Health AI spin-off company from the National University of Singapore and National University Health System and is the brainchild of Dr Mikael Hartman (Breast Cancer Surgeon at NUH) and Dr Feng Meng Ling (Assistant Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health). Our flagship product, FxMammo, is an AI Assistant that significantly improves the screening procedure for mammograms by reducing the false positive rates by as much as 67% and enhancing the clinical workflow by reducing the time taken to assess a screen as well as the number of radiologists required per screen. Our algorithm was based off over 3 years of research at NUS and we have recently published in the prestigious AAAI Workshop and Jama Open Network Journal. We are also a portfolio company of the MedTech JUMPStart Program.
We also work closely with global solutions provider HP Enterprise to develop a range of technologies in the field of medical imaging as well as DxD Hub (A subsidiary of A*Star Technologies Singapore) to get regulatory approval and set up quality assurance protocols.
The Principal Engineer will work with our Chief Technology Officer as well as development engineers from our partner institutions to develop, document and lead the deployment efforts. The roles & responsibilities and requirement of the candidate are as listed below:
Responsibilities
Participate in demand analysis, product planning, prototype design, process system document and technical regulation document writing for B-oriented artificial intelligence medical device software.
Be responsible for product customization and development during deployment.
Work with the team of engineers to maintain, deploy and support the product based on existing set protocols and standard operating procedures in alignment with ISO13485 standards.
Designing and developing backend, APIs, frontend and designing UI for the Web application.
Creating servers and databases for required functionality.
Experience and Requirements
Bachelor degree and above, with at least 4 years of software product development experience.
Excellent experience with backend programming languages and framework such as Python and Django
Experience with front-end programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript and framework such as Angular.
Practical knowledge of AWS services, such as EC2, VPC networking and databases
Practical knowledge of DevOps tooling such as Dockers, Git and Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Hands-on experience with Linux and Shell scripting
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Good English document writing skills, and able to communicate fluently in English.
Nice to have
A good attitude to learn and be willing to work with different age groups in a startup and research environment.
Cloud Certification and/or experience in using AWS or any other cloud platform is a plus.
Medical software product or AI product developer work experience.
Familiarity with database technology such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB
