Global Sourcing Director

The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for finding and developing new material and finished goods suppliers for Helinox and its brands. This role will lead a team of people responsible for creating and maintaining factory and material supplier relationships for all Helinox branded products, finding new materials and their sources, negotiating pricing, and ensuring a stable and consistent supply of materials and finished goods.
Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Design & Engineering, Product Development, Production and Quality to find and vet new materials and new suppliers.
Leads the sourcing process with suppliers, including requirements, negotiation, and supplier selection.
Negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality and on time delivery. Responsible for initial margin, and work to ensure minimum margin erosion from sourcing/production perspective.
Evaluates and analyzes Helinox requirements and provide sourcing documentation and recommendations to Product Team and management.
Analyze vendor performance, generate vendor scorecards, and together with the Director of Quality, resolve quality and/or service issues. Negotiate and resolve claims (quality control, warehouse non-compliance, shipping problems, etc) while maintaining vendor relationships.
Owns and drives supplier performance. Interfaces with Development Team, Production Team and Quality Team to track performance and create monthly scorecards.
International and domestic travel.
Possesses and understanding of contractual language and the fundamental skills for contract writing and negotiation.
Performs other duties as necessary.
