Who We Are
Autonomous is a US company. We design and manufacture our own hardware and sell it worldwide, from offices in New York, San Francisco, Shenzhen and Saigon. We publish our CAD, electronics and firmware as open source.
THE PRODUCT
Intern is an AI agent that sits on your desk. It runs agents locally, so your API keys and project context stay on the device instead of on someone else's server.
You give it a job through Telegram, Slack, Discord, or by talking to it, and it keeps doing that job on a schedule: sorting the inbox, watching GitHub issues, putting the weekly report together. It runs Autonomous OS, which is open source, and its skills are published on GitHub.
What You Own The number of Interns that end up on desks, from the first time someone hears the name to a device shipped, set up, and running its first recurring job.
You also own how we prove it.
Your own marketing work runs on Interns: the weekly numbers, mention monitoring, outreach lists, the launch checklist. What those agents produce is what we show customers, which makes you the first person here to notice when the product falls short of what we say about it.
SCOPE OF WORK
The full funnel: paid and organic acquisition, landing pages, the store, activation from unboxing to the first recurring task, and repeat purchase.
Build your own fleet of Interns. We supply the devices; you give them real work and tell the product team where the limits are.
Produce marketing out of real usage: task logs, screen recordings, a customer's inbox in week one against week four, a skill someone wrote over a weekend.
Reach buyers where they already are: Hacker News, Reddit, X, YouTube, Discord, and the self-hosting and homelab communities.
Run paid acquisition against a CAC target on a physical product, where inventory, shipping and returns affect the numbers.
Decide which releases get a launch. Skills, editions and integrations ship often, and most should ship quietly.
Requirements
You have done growth work directly: written the page, run the test, read the numbers, changed the page.
You are comfortable with numbers. You can size a channel, hold a CAC target, and separate a real result from noise.
You write English that holds an American reader.
This is the hardest requirement here, and your writing goes out unedited.
You use agents, not only chat. There is something in your own week that you automated because it annoyed you, and you can set up a Linux device, add an API key and read a skill file on your own.
You are comfortable working without an existing playbook, team or brand budget.
We do not screen on years of experience, universities or job titles. Send us something you built and grew.
