Assistant Manager Cargo Sales - Turkish Airlines

Key Responsibilities:
Capacity & Space Management
• Monitor allocated cargo capacity for each flight and optimize space usage based on booking demand and priorities.
• Manage allotments, backlogs, priority shipments, and last-minute booking requests.
• Ensure proper load planning in coordination with GHAs and airline load control teams.
• Review and adjust bookings to match aircraft weight, volume, and special cargo constraints.
Booking & Reservation Control
• Review daily booking levels and adjust acceptance based on forecast, trends, and airline guidelines.
• Manage flight waitlists, cancellations, and no-show cargo to maximize uplift.
• Coordinate with Sales teams to support key accounts, urgent cargo, and special cargo acceptance.
• Validate DG, perishable, VAL, AVI, and temperature-controlled cargo bookings based on airline policies.
Revenue & Performance Optimization
• Ensure optimal load factor performance (weight/volume) aligned with airline revenue targets.
• Identify opportunities for upselling, rerouting, or optimizing long-term allotment usage.
• Highlight capacity shortages and suggest alternative flights or routings.
• Provide recommendations to Sales on underutilized flights to stimulate demand.
Communication & Stakeholder Coordination
• Liaise with airline headquarters for space approvals, offloads, and priority shipments.
• Coordinate with GHAs to ensure correct cargo acceptance and build-up according to booked capacities.
• Provide daily updates on flight loads, backlogs, and operational changes.
• Communicate uplift forecasts and capacity risks to internal teams and airlines.
Monitoring & Reporting
• Track daily uplift, CBV, FLF, offload rates, and load discrepancies.
• Prepare regular reports for airlines and internal management on booking trends and flight performance.
• Maintain accurate data on bookings, no-shows, and cargo rollovers.
• Analyse patterns to support long-term planning and performance improvement.
Irregularity Handling
• Manage space-related issues such as overbookings, capacity changes, offloads, and flight delays.
• Prioritize special shipments during disruptions in coordination with Sales and Operations.
• Provide timely updates to forwarders, sales teams, and airline stations for resolution
Requirements:
· Minimum [02] years of experience in air cargo / logistics in sales.
· Bachelor's degree or relevant diploma (preferably in Logistics, Aviation, or Supply Chain).
· Strong network of industry contacts (freight forwarders,
shippers, airlines).
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Self-motivated, target-driven, and customer-focused.
· Proficiency in English (other languages a plus).
