The Opportunity
Our client is a leading independent Australian funds
management business specializing in the responsible entity, trustee, corporate
trust, and custody services, as well as fund administration, registry, and
corporate secretarial services.
The company specializes in a range of asset classes including
real estate, credit, private equity, infrastructure, equities, mortgage, and
hedge funds. We work with global and Australian listed companies, sovereign
wealth funds, banks, insurance companies, pension funds, private equity firms,
and boutique managers to provide them with a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance
of accounting records including entering transactions into accounting software
Bank
reconciliations
Preparation
and lodgment of BAS returns
Assistance
with Distribution calculations
Working
with the team by providing them administrative and accounting supports
when they received inquiries from internal and external service provider
and clients
Preparation
of periodical management reporting packs, and
Preparation
of General Purpose Annual Report
Qualifications & Experiences
At least
3 years of general accounting experience in finance industry
Relevant
qualifications in accounting and/or finance (CPA/CA qualified or
willingness to study CPA/CA preferred)
With
relevant experience in management and statutory reporting - Eg Investment
Management Report and General Purpose Financial Statement
Experience
in accounting for property funds
Advanced
Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Excellent
written and communication skills
Strong
problem-solving skills
Understand
the importance of confidentiality
Effective
stake holder management
A team
player and also able to work independently
Audit
experience with the big 4 will be an advantage
