The
Local Social Lead is the social expert and key day-to-day strategic partner for
the local client team. This role translates global brand and social strategies
into locally relevant content plans, identifies cultural and social
opportunities, and guides the team in creating work that is timely, engaging
and effective in the Vietnam market.
Working
closely with the Regional Social Team,
Project Manager, Social Creative,
Content Creators and Social Media Manager, the Local Social Lead owns the
strategic direction and overall quality of the local social output across
content, creators and community engagement
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
·
Lead day-to-day social planning and
content direction across assigned brands and projects.
·
Translate
global social strategies into locally relevant approaches and monthly content
plans for the Vietnam market.
·
Identify social trends, cultural
moments, and relevant opportunities that can be incorporated into content
planning
· Partner with the Social Creative to develop
content calendars, briefs aligned with brand objectives
·
Follow up monthly content calendars
and ongoing content development to ensure quality and timely delivery.
·
Review social content and provide
feedback to ensure alignment with brand objectives, strategy, tone of voice,
and platform best practices.
·
Identify social trends, cultural
moments, and relevant opportunities that can be incorporated into content
planning.
· Work with the Social Media Manager to review
content and channel performance.
· Guide the Social Media Manager on community
engagement, reactive content and culturally sensitive responses.
·
Provide
strategic guidance on creator selection, content direction
·
Review
creator ideas and outputs to ensure alignment with campaign and social
objectives
·
Analyse
social performance and turn local insights into recommendations for reporting
and ongoing optimisation.
·
Collaborate
with the Regional Social Team and Project Manager to align local execution with
global direction, timelines and ways of working.
QUALIFICATIONS
·
5+ years of experience in Social,
Social Media, Social Content, Digital Content, or related roles within an
advertising, digital, social, or creative agency.
·
Proven experience managing social
content planning, content calendars, briefing, and content delivery across
brands or projects.
·
Strong understanding of Vietnamese
culture, social behaviours, digital trends, and platform dynamics.
·
Experience working with and
coordinating cross-functional creative and account teams.
·
Strong client-facing and stakeholder
management experience. Experience working with regional or global stakeholders
is an advantage.
SKILLS
·
Strong social planning, content
management, and briefing skills.
·
Ability to translate strategy into
clear and actionable direction for creative/content teams.
·
Strong understanding of social
platforms, trends, creators, communities, and platform behaviours.
·
Good editorial judgement with the
ability to review and improve social content.
·
Strong organisation and follow-up
skills, with the ability to manage multiple content streams and deadlines.
·
Excellent stakeholder management,
communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
·
Strong problem-solving skills and
ability to work effectively in a fast-paced agency environment.
