JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Overview
RBA Vietnam is seeking three
motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our team, dedicated to
supporting Citrine International - a boutique international tax compliance firm
headquartered in Oxford, United Kingdom.
Citrine International specializes
in UK and US tax compliance, consulting, and planning for private clients
across more than a dozen countries. In this role, you will be employed by RBA
Vietnam and work full-time in support of Citrine International's tax compliance,
collaborating daily with the Citrine team in the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity
for a recent graduate or an early-career professional with relevant experience
who is looking to build a long-term career in international tax. You will
receive hands-on training, exposure to a wide variety of UK and US tax matters,
and the opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills within a
collaborative and technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. UK Tax Compliance
· Assist in preparing UK Self-Assessment
tax returns and supporting schedules under the guidance of senior team members.
· Prepare and maintain supporting
workpapers and tax documentation for client engagements.
· Collect, organize, verify, and
maintain client financial information and source documents required for tax
compliance.
· Input, update, and validate client
data within tax software and internal systems, ensuring a high level of
accuracy.
· Assist in preparing tax
calculations and supporting schedules.
· Monitor filing deadlines and
maintain compliance trackers to ensure timely completion of client
deliverables.
· Assist in responding to client
queries and requests for information.
2. Technical Research & Advisory
Support
· Conduct research on UK tax
legislation, regulations, and guidance.
· Assist in preparing technical
memoranda, client communications, and advisory reports.
· Support senior team members in
identifying tax planning opportunities and potential compliance risks.
· Stay informed of relevant tax
legislation and regulatory developments.
3. Client & Team Support
· Build professional relationships
with clients through regular communication and high-quality service.
· Coordinate with internal teams to
obtain information, manage document requests, and provide engagement status
updates.
· Prepare clear and professional
correspondence relating to client information requests and tax engagements.
· Participate in client meetings
alongside senior colleagues and assist with meeting preparation and follow-up
actions.
· Escalate complex or judgement-based
matters to senior team members promptly.
· Help ensure client work is
completed accurately and within agreed timelines.
4. Administrative Tasks
· Maintain organized, accurate, and
confidential client files in accordance with company policies and data
protection requirements.
· Ensure all client documentation is
complete, properly filed, and readily accessible.
· Use tax software and technology
tools to support the efficient delivery of client services.
· Identify opportunities to improve
processes, documentation standards, and workflow efficiency.
· Support the ongoing development and
implementation of internal systems and technology solutions.
· Assist with other administrative
and operational tasks as required by the Tax Manager or senior team members.
5. Collaboration & Professional
Development
· Work closely with colleagues across
the tax team to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
· Collaborate with other internal
teams and external advisers where appropriate.
· Contribute to a positive,
supportive, and knowledge-sharing team culture.
· Participate actively in training
and development programmes.
· Develop technical knowledge of UK
taxation and related tax principles.
· Work towards relevant professional
qualifications (e.g. ATT or CTA).

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Taxation, or a related discipline.
2. Experience
· Prior working experience is not required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
· Candidates with 3 - 6 months of internship experience in accounting, audit, and tax will be considered an advantage.
3. Technical Skills
· Strong command of written and spoken English - essential, as all work and communication are conducted in English with a UK-based team.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort learning new tax software quickly.
· Interest in UK/US taxation is welcome; no prior knowledge of UK or US tax law is required - full training will be provided.
