JOB DESCRIPTION
ABOUT JOB
As a Card Business Associate at Timo, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Card Center's operations. You will manage all aspects of card processing, provide customer support, and ensure the smooth functioning of card-related services. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and proactive management of card-related issues to maintain high customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
ABOUT THE ROLE
A day in your life might include:
1. Card Processing
Oversee the entire lifecycle of debit cards, including issuance, activation, renewals, and cancellations.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth processing of card applications.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies during card processing.
2. Customer Support & Issue Resolution
Provide high-quality support to customers regarding any card-related issues, such as transaction disputes, lost or stolen cards, PIN resets, and card replacements.
Assist customers in troubleshooting card-related queries, working closely with technical teams when needed.
Act as the point of contact for escalated card issues and ensure timely resolution.
3. Card Center Operations
Collaborate with the Card Center team to manage day-to-day card operations.
Maintain accurate records of all card-related activities and transactions.
Monitor card performance metrics, report discrepancies, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Follow up on card orders, shipments, and other logistical matters.
4. Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure all card operations comply with internal policies, banking regulations, and security standards.
Participate in regular audits and reviews of card-related processes to mitigate risks.
Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements related to debit cards.
5. Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with the Card Center team, internal departments (e.g., Call Center, Risk Management, IT), and external vendors to ensure seamless card operations.
Participate in team meetings, share updates, and contribute to process improvement discussions.
Assist the Manager with any additional tasks or projects assigned.
6. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and maintain reports on card issuance, activations, cancellations, and other key metrics.
Document all customer interactions related to card issues for future reference and continuous improvement.
Report any major issues or trends to the Manager for further action.
REQUIREMENTS
How to succeed in this Role:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or a related field.
At least 1 year of experience in card operations, banking, or customer support; experience in a digital banking environment is especially preferred.
Strong knowledge of card processes, regulations, and compliance requirements, with familiarity in card processing systems and platforms.
Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant banking software.
