* THE SITUATION
- As a Project Engineer, your role is crucial in ensuring that the interior design and construction of new stores align with the brand's image and deliver an exceptional dining experience.
- Your role as a Project Supervisor is pivotal in translating the brand's identity into the physical space of each new fine dining restaurant. It involves a blend of project management, design expertise, budgeting, and coordination with various stakeholders to create memorable dining environments that meet the highest standards of quality and luxury.
WHAT YOU WILL DO?
- Project Planning and Conceptualization
+ Collaborate with the design team and stakeholders to develop a clear vision and concept for each new restaurant.
+ Create detailed design plans and construction schedules.
- Budgeting and Cost Management
+ Develop and manage budgets for the interior design and construction phases.
+ Ensure that projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
- Vendor and Contractor Selection
+ Identify and contract with suitable architects, interior designers, construction firms, and suppliers.
+ Oversee the procurement of materials and services required for the projects.
- Compliance and Regulations
+ Ensure that all interior designs and construction adhere to local building codes and regulations.
+ Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction.
- Quality Control
+ Maintain high-quality standards for the design, materials, and construction processes to ensure they align with the brand's image and standards.
- Construction Oversight
+ Supervise the construction and renovation process, making sure that work is progressing according to the design plans and timeline.
+ Address any issues or delays promptly.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
+ Work closely with culinary teams, project managers, and marketing departments to ensure that the interior design supports the overall restaurant concept and brand image.
- Health and Safety
+ Prioritize safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all construction workers and staff.
- Sustainability and Efficiency
+ Implement sustainable and energy-efficient design and construction practices where possible.
- Problem-Solving
+ Address any unforeseen challenges or issues that may arise during the construction process and find practical solutions.
- Communication
+ Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and changes to relevant stakeholders, including senior management and the New Store Business Development Department.
- Quality Assurance and Inspection
+ Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that design and construction meet the company's quality standards.
- Handover and Opening
+ Oversee the final touches and preparations for the restaurant's grand opening, including staff training and operational readiness.
- Post-Opening Evaluation
+ Evaluate the performance of the interior design and construction after the restaurant's opening, making necessary adjustments for future projects.
- Continuous Improvement
+ Seek opportunities to improve interior design and construction processes and practices for ongoing refinement and efficiency.
