University graduates majoring in English / any other discipline with English components
[Current university students from year 3rd above are also acceptable]
University Students
Must have Teaching Assistant Level Test (TA: 80+, JTA: 70-80)
Accumulated transcript (7.0 and above)
IELTS (6.5 and up) and/or TOEFL IBT (80 and up) preferred
Any other ESL certificate with CEFR - level C1 equivalent preferred
Reference(s)

Must have Teaching Assistant Level Test (TA: Upper Intermediate and up, JTA: Intermediate, Pre-Intermediate)
University degree (Bachelor or higher)
IELTS (6.5 and up) and/or TOEFL IBT (80 and up) preferred

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
The mentor: TAs work closely with the class and know their personalities, strengths and weaknesses. They build relationships with the learners, ensure they are at ease and tutor anyone who is struggling.
The ambassador: As the main channel of communication between ILA and parents, TAs represent ILA to its customers. With an enthusiastic demeanour they keep parents informed about their child's progress and promote ILA initiatives.
The guardian: At breaktime and before and after class TAs act as chaperones for learners. They care deeply about the learners' welfare and help ensure the classroom is a safe learning environment and that learners are supervised outside the classroom.
The facilitator: TAs are responsible for the organisation and administration of the class. They take attendance, set and mark homework, help run activities and record what was studied.
