JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Assessing children's skills and learning
requirements
● Working with the Head of Student Success
Center to Design Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
● Collaborating with parents and school staff
to track student progress.
● Liaise with both Vietnamese Program and
International Program to develop and enhance professional learning and
collaboration.
● Adhering to Wellspring Saigon's code of
conduct and teaching practices
● Ability to communicate effectively in both
English and Vietnamese
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Professional activities
● Working with students with learning difficulties,
the duty of the Learning Support Teacher is to enable and empower the student
to be able to access their current curriculum to the best of their ability
2. Teaching
● Working with individual or small groups of
students, the teacher will help develop and support the learning of the
students
● Student development progress will be tracked and
measured according to department guidelines
● Students are assigned by the Head of the LSC,
according to the needs of the student and the experience of the teacher
● Teacher will spend no more than 24 teaching
periods a week working directly with students
3. Administration Duties
● Weekly report of student progress
● Weekly meetings to discuss teaching practice and
continued support of students
4. Contributions
to Wellspring Saigon community
Learning Support Teachers are encouraged to be
involved in school activities and departmental awareness campaigns
REQUIREMENTS
● Successful experience in Learning Support
teaching preferred
● A
good classroom practitioner with evidence of setting appropriate expectations
to advance learning and to engage and motivate students
● Ability
to use appropriately a range of differentiated teaching and learning strategies
for whole classes, individuals and groups which stimulate, challenge, engage
and motivate students
● Ability
to set clear and appropriate targets, feedback to students and make use of
assessment information to promote each student's attainment and progress, and
to plan future lessons
● Ability
to reflect on own practice
● Willingness
to attend training associated with the needs of the Learning Support classroom

JOB DESCRIPTION
● Curriculum Delivery
o Teach the Learning Success Curriculum (LSC)
to full student classes (up to 24 periods per week) following Wellspring's
bilingual education and English-medium instruction policies.
o Model academic English while strategically
scaffolding Vietnamese or other home languages, if and when required, to ensure
equitable access, comprehension, and emotional well-being.
o Embed LSC core themes-resilience,
metacognition, collaboration, digital citizenship, and ethical thinking-in all
teaching and learning experiences.
● Instructional Design
o Design and adapt lesson plans that reflect
LSC's pedagogical foundations: Building Learning Power, Visible Thinking
Routines, Learning by Doing, Reflective Practice, and Universal Design for
Learning (UDL).
o Integrate activities that promote student
agency, reflective thinking, and growth mindset consistent with LSC philosophy.
● Assessment & Reflection
o Use growth rubrics, student portfolios, and
self/peer reflections to track and celebrate student progress.
o Engage in weekly reflective practice,
documenting how lessons foster curiosity, self-regulation, and bilingual confidence.
● Collaboration & Professional Growth
o Collaborate with LSC peers to co-develop
curriculum units and refine instructional approaches that align with schoolwide
outcomes.
o
Participate in professional learning
workshops that strengthen teacher buy-in and shared commitment to the LSC
mission and values.

Community Engagement
o Support LSC clubs, wellbeing projects, and awareness campaigns that
promote student voice, global citizenship, and community service.
o Demonstrate and model Wellspring's core values
in daily teaching practice-wellbeing, innovation, bilingual communication,
ethics, and self-directed learning.
REQUIREMENTS
● Bachelor's degree in Education or related
field; teaching certification preferred.
● Experience in Learning Support, inclusive
education, or bilingual instruction is advantageous
● Proficiency
in English and Vietnamese; ability to model bilingual academic communication.
● Expertise
in differentiated instruction, metacognitive strategies, and reflective
teaching.
● Strong
organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
● Commitment
to student wellbeing, growth mindset, and inclusive learning principles.
