As Chubb's Head of Engineering, North America Technology, you will report directly to the VP Chubb Group and Head of North America Technology and Operations. In this highly visible and transformational leadership role, you will be responsible for the design and support of the North America organization's architecture and engineering strategy and roadmaps that will align to the digital transformation.

In this role, you will:

Partner with North America leadership to understand opportunities and set measurable goals for architecture and engineering best practices
Lead the design of future state platform roadmaps in alignment with business goals and drivers.
Drive the execution of the technology roadmap
Identify, promote, define, and design practical and innovative business technology solutions in line with business technology strategies managing from qualified idea, concept/business requirements through design
Pursue emerging technologies that offer value to the digital transformation.
Promote the most effective and efficient means of delivering technology products and services through reuse, sharing, buying vs. building, etc.
Manage and ensure compliance with Chubb technology platforms roadmap and architectural principles.
Ability to guide and drive strategic initiatives, developing a technology roadmap of capabilities and implement change needed for the success of the digital transformation
Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills driving and promoting a culture of focus and execution with integrity
Challenge conventional practices and status quo with the goal of continually improving technology abilities to deliver practical business solutions
Develop strong bench of future technology leaders within claims and drive agility, strategy, innovation, and collaboration
Ensure compliance with Chubb technology standards, guidelines, and best practices with regard to application security and data privacy, data integrity, and architecture
Demonstrate the ability to create original concepts and approaches for testing/refining existing processes as well as focusing on new solutions and processes
Ensure that North America technology maintains immediate and long-term system stability and quality through effective processes and procedures
Establish and maintain a high level of business trust and confidence in the technology team's knowledge of and concern for application issues

Qualifications

18-20 years' technical experience, preferably in the property and casualty insurance industry with experience managing a team of at least 25+ developers
Hands on knowledge of front to back technology development of complex systems. Strong planning, analytical, and conceptual skills
Ability to stimulate creativity and lead change and transformational business initiatives
Demonstrate independence, flexibility, creativity, and problem solving to produce rapid results with minimum direction in a complex environment
Exhibit competency and flexibility in understanding diverse and complex business and technical problems, customer requirements, and functional/business objectives while developing efficient and effective solutions
Demonstrate exceptional ability to focus and collaboratively execute. Experience operating and leading in flexible, sometime ambiguous organization
Showcase superior organizational development skills and adept at effectively balancing the internal workforce with outside consultants and services to provide the appropriate speed-of-service and quality-of-output
Must be an excellent communicator, highly effective in stakeholder engagement. This will include strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences

In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $165,000 to $280,500. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found at [protected info] This range is specific to Jersey City, NJ and may not be applicable to other locations.
