Head of Maintenance and Utility

POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure machinery and systems are in optimal condition.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Maintenance Management
• Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all equipment and utilities.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure machinery and systems are in optimal condition.
• Coordinate with production departments to plan and execute maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
2 Utility Management
• Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all utility systems, including HVAC, electrical, water, and waste management.
• Monitor utility consumption and implement measures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with external service providers for the maintenance and repair of utility systems.
3 Team Leadership
• Lead, manage, and mentor the knitting team, including machine operators and technicians.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
4 Equipment and System Upgrades
• Identify opportunities for upgrading equipment and systems to improve efficiency and performance.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovations for implementation.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
5 Health and Safety
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
6 Budget Management
• Develop and manage the maintenance and utility budget.
• Monitor and control maintenance costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Prepare and present budget reports to management.
7 Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, equipment performance, and utility consumption.
• Prepare and present reports on maintenance and utility operations to management.
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
8 Emergency Response
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment and utility failures.
• Coordinate and lead the response to any maintenance-related emergencies.
• Conduct post-incident analysis and implement corrective actions.
