Head Of Vietnamese Studies

• Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all Integrated students and staff for academic performance and behaviour.
• Manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the Integrated classes in consultation with and under the advice and direction of the School Principal.
• Support the implementation of common school values and goals and a consistent school culture.
• Ensure that the operation and implementation of the Vietnamese curriculum is within the relevant MOET and DOET policies and procedures and keep the principal informed on these matters.
• Supervise the instructional programs for the Vietnamese curriculum, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes on a regular basis.
• Encourage the use good teaching practice and a variety of instructional strategies consistent with the culture and values of the school.
• Monitor and supervise the Integrated teaching staff and keep the principal informed of any performance issues.
• Maintain all records and systems that are required by MOET/DOET.
• Attend to all inspections, questions and visits by MOET/DOET or The Office of Education at District level and provide proper and appropriate information with regard to the implementation of the Vietnamese programme during such events. This needs to be done in consultation with the School Principal or the Company's Management.
• Ensure that all school policies, systems and record-keeping are well implemented and maintained.
• Assist and support the implementation of school initiatives, school functions and special events within the school.
• Establish a professional and respectful rapport with parents, students and staff and respond to enquiries and complaints in consultation with the School Principal.
• Display the highest ethical and professional behaviour and standards when working with students, parents and staff.
