Job Title: Mid-Senior Project Officer
Company: Magnolia Sustainable Experiences & Magnolia Responsible Travel
Location: Various project sites in Vietnam
Position Summary:
Magnolia Sustainable Experiences and Magnolia Responsible Travel focus on creating community-based tourism ecosystems that integrate authentic local experiences with sustainability. We seek a Mid-Senior Project Officer with experience in tourism and product design to lead our community projects and manage resulting tourist products. The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainable tourism and skilled at working directly with local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement community-based tourism projects with the team.
- Develop tourist products (accommodation, meals, experiences) post-project.
- Build relationships with local communities, ensuring their participation.
- Co-create sustainable tourism experiences with local stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and maintain product quality.
- Provide training to local communities and work with marketing to promote products.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in tourism and product design.
- Proven experience working with rural/ethnic communities.
- Knowledge of sustainable tourism and community development.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) for working with diverse communities.
- Male candidates preferred due to the nature of project area interactions.
Preferred:
- Experience in eco-tourism and familiarity with Vietnamese rural settings.
- Proficiency in Vietnamese or local languages is a plus.
