JOB DESCRIPTION
Artistri Sud is currently looking for two capable, motivated, and energetic Program Assistants (PA) to support the preparations and the delivery of the program from October 13th to the end of November.[*] Artistri Sud will implement the ASSET in several locations in the north of Vietnam simultaneously. Beyond supporting the Country Director, this is a unique opportunity for the volunteer to think creatively about how he or she can contribute to the program's success through their role.
This is an excellent developmental opportunity for anyone seeking meaningful work, as well as experience developing and delivering capacity-building training to marginalized groups.
Please note these are volunteer (unpaid) positions.
Program Assistant Roles:
Liaison with partnership organisations / Data collection / Support:
Baseline interviews: Using existing processes and templates, support partners in the field to conduct interviews with participants, and ensure data is properly collected and reported.
Administration: oversee the recruitment of participants and members of the training team. Coordinate data collection, participant registration, communication with the participants etc.
Research and reporting: collecting and analyzing baseline and need assessment information. Provide an easily understood record of analyzed data.
Develop and maintain relationships with partners organisations
Assist the Country Director by consecutively interpreting interviews, if needed.
Assist the preparation phase and the delivery of ASSET
Assistance during preparation for the delivery of ASSET Program:
Prepare adequately so as to support effective delivery of the program.
Coordinate logistics (book training facilities and travel, finalize contracts, request or acquire equipment or supplies for program delivery, etc.)
Administrative tasks: oversee the recruitment of participants and training teammates, data collection, registration, communication with the participants etc.
Procurement: this includes coordinating the printing of manuals and classroom materials..
Marketing and communications, as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Basic understanding of how to use a computer and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Fluency in English AND Vietnamese. Language proficiency will be tested during the interview.
Availability for travel to rural areas in the north of Vietnam for 7 days weeks during ASSET, if required [*].
Ability to manage multiple tasks; organized.
High energy, personable, and a willingness to work long, rewarding hours.
Self-starter with drive, problem solving skills and flexibility - things can change on the ground, and you may need to support decision-making on the fly!
Team player. The PA is part of the team!
Nice to have:
College degree or high school diploma.
Strong knowledge of Hanoi, Vietnam, specifically Son La, Hoa Binh, Dien Bien and Phu Tho provinces
Knowledge of entrepreneurship or tourism.
Experience in working with marginalized groups and people with different backgrounds.
Enthusiastic, friendly, personable and outgoing, attention to detail, flexible.
Ability to use a microphone, recording device and computer.
Ability to maintain quality and confidentiality standards.
