Thunder Cloud has been focusing on boosting production capacity by growing the resource pool since the company's rapid growth. As a bridge between production teams and external service providers, the Outsourcing Manager is in charge of driving external art suppliers to help the company meet its objectives.
This position acts as the specialist in outsourcing process, and is expected to fulfill the activities and responsibilities listed below efficiently and independently:
Responsibilities:
Develop a strategic plan to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness of outsourcing suppliers;
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power;
Update cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking according to the market forecast;
Develop and execute a strategic plan to expand the outsourcing pool per the company's growth objectives to guarantee resource availability to the production plan and provide the best plan to comply with the inventory policy;
Collaborate with Project Leads and Division Managers to ensure an adequate workforce and outsource volume to guarantee project success at the least possible cost;
Ensure the external suppliers meet quality standards and remain within the budget.
Take charge of the end-to-end process of outsourcing, including finding, selecting, and negotiating prices with external suppliers;
Monitor and closely coordinate the work progress of the external suppliers, from contract initiation to project completion and beyond, and work closely with the Production team to ensure smooth collaboration;
Evaluate and classify outsourced suppliers based on their suitability (expertise, quality, pricing, etc.) for specific projects.
Requirements & Skills:
Strong negotiation skills, able to effectively communicate and secure favorable agreements.
Proficient in English to facilitate communication with foreign suppliers.
Strong market pricing research and analysis skills
Excellent organizational and planning abilities to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Previous experience in an advertising agency as a producer with a fast-paced environment and high resource requirements is a plus
Knowledge of 3D game art & animation production and industry is a huge advantage
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar or equivalent position.
Qualities:
Demonstrated track record in resource management or experience working with external remote suppliers, highlighting successful outcomes and effective coordination.
Adaptive project management skills, knowing when to use formal or informal tactics and strategy to achieve project success.
