About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the development of SGS Vietnam's Building & Infrastructure (B&I) HSE service capability while delivering professional HSE supervision services for construction and infrastructure projects. This role combines technical leadership, project delivery,
business development support, and team capability building to ensure safe, compliant and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and implementation of SGS B&I HSE capabilities, including procedures, templates, resource planning, competency frameworks and HSE delivery standards.
Manage and deliver HSE supervision, inspections and audits for construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with legal, client and SGS requirements.
Review and assess HSE plans, risk assessments (JSA), permit-to-work systems, lifting plans, emergency response plans and other project safety documentation.
Monitor high-risk construction activities, including work at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, excavation, confined space entry, hot work, electrical/LOTO and fire prevention controls.
Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions; conduct root cause analysis and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Support business development and tender activities by preparing HSE methodologies, manpower plans, technical proposals and project cost estimations.
Coach and mentor HSE engineers and supervisors, support recruitment activities and contribute to building a competent HSE team across SGS Vietnam.
Support office and operational HSE activities, training programs, audits and continuous improvement initiatives when not assigned to project sites.
