You will provide leadership and coordination for all HV, Powertrain and Electrical System
Integration projects within the Electrical Engineering (EE) Department. Managing direct
reports, planning projects and reporting on progress. Ensuring on time delivery and working to
the highest standards possible. This will involve working across technical specialists, adopting
new processes and acting as the main point of contact for your specialist area. Technical
ownership is expected for the following regions o High voltage systems o Powertrain
system electronics
o ISO26262 processes
• You will lead your team in technical discussions to deliver robust fault free designs through the
application of Concurrent Engineering disciplines including DFMEA, DFA, DFM, Campaign
Prevention Process, Robustness, etc.
• Develop the System Design Specifications & the Statements of Work for all projects within
portfolio.
• Validate that all products meet the specification requirements and project targets through a
documented DVP.
• Project manage/design systems, subsystems and components which meet agreed programme
targets at lowest Total Cost, continually monitor the cost status versus cost target, and take
appropriate action to control, identify and report cost risks and opportunities as soon as they are
known.
• Provide mentoring to off-shore resource (India, Romania) to up-skill them in the provision of
HV, Powertrain and Electrical System Integration skills blended with European experience to
VINIS Technologies customers
Knowledge / Experience
In a delivery role, you will need to be comfortable meeting new customers and developing relationships,
working closely with our commercial and sector leaders, and operating within the Global Vehicle
Programs and Development group to deliver business. Working internally, you will need to demonstrate
best working practices, be good at motivating teams and able to deliver clear written and verbal
processes and standards.
Technically, you will have experience in design and development within the automotive electrical and
electronics systems sector, although other areas of relevant technology development may also be
considered. You will be able to impart your technical knowledge with ease, conviction and credibility to
our customers and your colleagues. You will require a good understanding and working knowledge of:
1. Complex electrical / electronic systems integration and the use of advanced technologies
2. Working in multi discipline, multi-national engineering teams
3. Automotive development processes
4. Conventional, Hybrid and Electric vehicle architectures
5. On Vehicle EE systems for electrified powertrains
6. Degree in engineering or related technical discipline, and preferably with a higher qualifications,
(Master's Degree or equivalent)
7. Strong track record of delivering significant high value business and delivering to very tight
timescales
8. Driven to delivering high quality projects, on time and budget, beyond customer expectations.
9. A minimum of 10 years' relevant automotive industry experience, preferably within OEM, Tier 1 or
consultancy business
