Hydraulic Mechanical Engineer

Reporting to Principal Engineer Hydraulics Responsible for N/A
Purpose / Role - This is an exciting broad role where you will be involved in a wide range of Engineer tasks, from conceptual design to machine commissioning at customer sites and on sea trials, project engineering and supplier/customer visits.
A key member of the engineering team, your tasks will cover all aspects of the design and production of relatively complex subsea machines and equipment. Reviewing / updating both Hydraulic existing designs and designing new one-off machines against customer specifications and industry standards.
Key Aims and Objectives - As a Hydraulic Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing practical new designs to tight timescales, within a supportive team environment.
Prime Role and Duties
· Producing hydraulic designs from technical specifications
· Producing calculations and supporting design documents such as FMEA
· Working closely with electrical, software and mechanical design engineers, to produce a well-integrated machine
· Creating Bills of Materials for your designs and liaising with purchasing and production personnel
· Being involved with assembly, commissioning and testing of new machines - this can involve working abroad or offshore
Allied Occasional Duties Assisting with sales activities and warranty / service support of existing equipment
