Handle and coordinate import and export shipments, with a strong focus on import shipments.
Work with shipping lines, overseas agents, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers to arrange and monitor international shipments.
Manage import shipments from booking, document receipt, Arrival Notice, D/O/eDO, customs clearance coordination to cargo delivery.
Coordinate with overseas suppliers/agents to obtain and check shipping documents and ensure shipments arrive on schedule.
Monitor vessel schedules, shipment status, free time, and closing time, and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve arising issues.
Search for, compare, and negotiate freight rates and service terms with carriers/agents.
Source, evaluate, and manage logistics service providers to ensure service quality and competitive costs.
Monitor logistics expenses, supplier payables, advances, and payments.
Provide customer support, recommend suitable import/export solutions, and handle shipment-related issues.
Maintain and develop relationships with overseas agents and support
business development opportunities.
Prepare periodic reports and perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
College/University degree in Logistics, International Business, Economics, Transportation, or related fields.
At least 2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding/Logistics/Overseas Operations.
Priority is given to candidates with solid experience in import shipments, especially handling import procedures from overseas suppliers/agents to delivery in Vietnam.
Experience with Arrival Notice, D/O/eDO, import documentation, customs clearance coordination, and local delivery is highly preferred.
Experience working with shipping lines, overseas agents, freight forwarders, and trucking companies.
Experience in Ocean Freight, FCL/LCL, pricing, and freight negotiation is an advantage.
Good negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Good English communication and email writing skills.
Proficient in Word and Excel; experience with logistics software is an advantage.
Proactive, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently.
