Work out site proposal for IT CAPEX and OPEX requirement and HC planning
Submit budget planning to Asia IT Manager
Technical Responsibility
Infrastructure
Consult Regional IT Manager to formulate site IT strategy, design and realization of local IT infrastructure and contribute to regional, global IT strategy
Manage and support existing IT infrastructure (e.g. VMWare, Email, Backup, File Server, File shares, Security, Switches, Routers, Virus protection, CCTV, Network systems)
Manage Gentherm Vietnam network system LAN/WAN/WWAN as subject matter expert
Participate in building of Gentherm IT systems
Proactively monitor various aspects of IT infrastructure (e.g. network traffic flow end to end), identify areas of concern, and support in developing action plans to address them.
Business System/BPI
Involved in IT Infrastructure section of business system/BPI projects as an IT Infrastructure expert
Maintain complete IT infrastructure documentation and records (System documentations, configurations, software purchases, licensing information)
Operational Responsibility
Outsource vendor coordination
Setup necessary maintenance/support contracts with vendors to ensure service level agreement (SLA) agreed with business could be honored
Delegate maintenance and patching tasks when necessary to ensure jobs are completed on time
Escalate to vendor or global IT teams if SLA is breached
Maintenance and Patches
Perform regular maintenance on all IT equipment - this includes servers, desktops, laptops, firewalls, switches, printers, access points
Ensure software patches and security upgrades are regularly applied to all IT equipment which includes servers, desktops, laptops, network equipment as per described in IT policies
Support in monitoring and audit of nightly backup, and restoration according to IT policies to ensure backup effectiveness and disaster recovery readiness
Support in establishing preventive measures, carry out corrective actions to improve IT infrastructure's performance
Setup/modify user access rights in accordance with company policies as well as HR requirements
Perform replacement of end user device per IT policies
User support
Set up new users and disabling expired accounts as per global IT policy, in cooperation with HR
Provide training to staff and orienting them on how to user computer hardware and software systems
Provide assistance & (level 1) support to colleagues located in HaNam site for all IT-related matters
Escalate issues according to predefined conditions to regional subject matter expert (Level 2) or Global IT teams (Level 3)
On call after business hour as per required
Provide necessary software and end user device to users upon request and approval
Disaster Recovery (DR)
Support in creating risk mitigation matrix during risk assessments and DR planning
Performance Monitoring
Establish regular monitoring on key performance indicator (KPI) of various IT systems, equipment
Ensure IT system's availability and performance is compliant with agreed levels
Set up, monitor and evaluate objectives and KPIs for the department in alignment with the plant objectives and risks.
People Management:
Recruit, train, monitor performance and motivate, develop and retain IT team members
Manage IT team to support to colleagues located in HaNam site for all IT-related matters
Project Management
Support Asia IT Manger in managing local section of IT projects, undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by Asia IT Manager
Lead Asia's regional network projects/initiatives as assigned by IT Leaders
Coordinate with other IT team such as regional or global IT teams
Ensure efficient, cost-effective & timely delivery of projects and compliance with IT security requirements
Business Development/Customer Relationship Management
Ensure a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers
Establish and maintain good relationship with users and managers
Support in translating business needs into IT requirement
Coordinate regional/global activities
Coordinate of computer maintenance with other IT professionals from region or global IT teams
Work with other global & regional IT administrators to support existing Data Center, especially in terms of managing the SANs, Virtual Infrastructures, power, cooling, cabling, and network.
Support all security related issues and work closely with different groups to identify and resolve different vulnerabilities.
Finance, Human Resource, and Administration
Prepare all necessary administrative documents for purchases, maintenance contracts
Keep track of IT hardware and software in fixed assets registries
Perform HSE related tasks following IT and HSE standards and policies
Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by IT Management team
