Role Description The IT Manager - Pre-opening is a full-time, on-site role based in Ha Long at our upcoming Sailing Club Signature Ha Long, responsible for setting up and managing all information technology systems for a new hospitality property. This role oversees the design, implementation, and testing of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, hotel operating systems, and security solutions to ensure readiness for opening. The IT Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to align technology solutions with brand standards, operational requirements, and budget parameters.
Day-to-day activities include coordinating hardware and software installation, establishing data backup and cybersecurity protocols, documenting IT procedures, and providing training and support to property teams. The role also involves ongoing monitoring of system performance, resolving technical issues promptly, and preparing the IT environment for a seamless transition from pre-opening to stable operations.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure setup, including networks, servers, and hardware configuration in hospitality or similar environments.
Experience implementing and managing hotel-specific systems (e.g., PMS, POS, back-office systems) and integrating them with other operational platforms.
Proficiency in IT security practices, data protection, access control, and backup and recovery procedures.
Experience with pre-opening or new property rollouts, including IT project planning, vendor coordination, and timeline management.
Ability to document IT processes, develop user guides, and deliver training to non-technical team members.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under time constraints.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with owners, management, operations teams, and external partners.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., network or security certifications) are an advantage.
Experience in the hospitality industry or service-focused environment is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Ha Long and adapt to evolving operational and pre-opening requirements
