The IT Procurement Specialist is a critical role that plays a key part in our procurement process. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and ensuring that all purchases are made in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Main Roles
- Source IT vendors/suppliers and collect quotations or proposals based on specific technical and business requirements.
- Evaluate vendor qualifications, capabilities, and service offerings, especially in IT hardware, software, and technical services.
- Negotiate terms and conditions (price, delivery, payment, warranty, etc.) to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Process Purchase Orders and Contracts in line with company policies and procedures.
- Follow up on purchase orders, track shipment progress, and coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
- Manage procurement risks and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or service gaps.
- Work closely with the Procurement Director to support the development of annual procurement plans, strategies, and continuous process improvements.
- Control and monitor procurement expenses against approved budgets; contribute to cost-saving initiatives and budget planning.
- Maintain and update procurement database, price lists, and vendor records.
- Stay updated on IT market trends and pricing to support informed
purchasing decisions.
- Provide regular updates on shipment schedules to relevant internal departments.
- Handle ad-hoc procurement tasks as assigned.
