The experience:
This role will be remote for time being, expectation to be in Montclair, NJ (2-3 days per week), as offices reopen
The friendly associate director of sales role here at hello is a juicy one that will help craft our business. This person will join a fun, passionate, creative bunch obsessed with bringing our brand to life on shelves across the country! We look for those who are serious about being seriously friendly. You'll have a direct impact on our growth as we continue to build scale, broaden brand awareness, and generate trial. Of course, you're an extraordinary customer development leader who understands customer needs and requirements. Above and beyond that, you can also translate and execute the hello vision for our retailers and you know how to make people genuinely smile. As this role works across multiple hello functions, it requires collaboration skills and attention to detail. You're the type of person who gets totally fired-up when you not only meet but also totally exceed customer expectations.
The sales team is the face of hello to our retail partners and drives hello growth. Members of our team must be strong representatives of the hello brand and be able to articulate our naturally friendlyTM brand positioning, mission and values. The team works as a close unit, responsible for all customer development activities at each retailer, and for cultivating relationships across all functions including marketing, digital, finance, supply chain and hello's senior management. Folks who are smart (but may not always have the right answer), innovative (but pragmatic), and are committed to forward motion (but make sure they keep the team in the mix) will make for the best fit with our vibe and work ethic.
Who you are:
- You have the woo- You'll represent hello with verve, gusto, and a ready smile as you lead customer relationships, get results, and develop and lead hello business with select retail partners.
- You connect the dots- You will be developing and delivering annual promotional and business plans for retail partners that deliver on revenue and profit goals. You'll work across company channel strategy while developing our brand and driving category growth. You'll also handle the Customer P&L including Trade Spending and merchandising as well as contributing to the forecasting process for your accounts and ensure you use analytics to craft your retailer strategy.

What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8+ years of CPG brand experience or emerging brand experience
- Experience working in consumer product goods preferred
- You care a ton about the environment and about the product choices you make. You have ideals as well as ideas. You're forward-thinking, you've got grit, and you're comfortable in an ambitious environment.
