The Master Production Planner is responsible for developing the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. The qualified individual will be responsible to facilitate capacity modelling for short and long-term plans with the plant and regional Demand, Supplier Network Planning teams. This position is also responsible for identifying optimization opportunities of daily production schedules in alignment with Planners, Customer Service and Operational requirements. In addition, the Master Production Planner will drive best practices integration, SAP/APO system optimal utilization and serve as the subject matter expert for end -to-end synchronized supply network vendors.

Responsibilities include:

Utilize demand driven processes to determine requirements that balance supply chain resources and inventory to meet the timely fulfillment of customer orders
Review and optimize weekly/monthly/quarterly production master schedules to maximize service levels achievement
Manage and coordinate manufacturing needs to ensure that the plant is adhering to production schedules while minimizing labor cost and meeting cycle-time inventory (CTI) goals.
Review demand from SAP/APO to develop overall plant production schedule to meet customer demands where appropriate; logistics and capacity constraints with Operations/Making parameters.
Manage inventory of finished goods, raw and packaging materials to support production requirements, service needs and working capital objectives.
Review raw and packaging materials coverage to ensure safe stock strategy and partner with Procurement to determine optimal levels. Facilitate material management improvement and control to reduce potential SLOB.
Apply data analytics and decision making in short, medium and long term capacity utilization and production segmentation.
Facilitate audits of SAP/APO to include demand, inventory levels, BOMs, material masters and parameters accuracy.
Maintain open lines of communication with key vendors and sharing information relevant to changes in the business to continue the development of the partnership.
Active participation and contributions on Funding The Growth (FTG) initiatives.
Closely partners with the Network Operations team to provide input into new product launches, transitions and sourcing strategy changes.
Timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to include schedule adherence, case fill, and inventory returns.
Work closely with the Procurement team on material sourcing strategies and vendor relations.
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, R&D and Supply Chain in order to plan for changes and new development in the workplace.
Support plant initiatives through involvement of activities/functions outside of Materials Planning.
Create Management of Change and change control documents and provide appropriate follow-up to activities of planning, execution and closing.
Identify areas of opportunity to drive continuous improvement on the planning process included but not limited to making and finishing focus factories.
Maintain cross-functional partnership with effective communication and planned execution.

Required Basic Qualifications :

B.A./B.S. degree in business, engineering, logistics, planning or related field
SAP R3/APO system experience
5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
2+ years planning and/or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment
Quantitative reasoning skills to inform data driven decisions
Working knowledge of logistics and manufacturing systems
Strong project management, communication, and facilitation skills
Adaptable to navigate ambiguity and apply decisive critical thinking skills
Proficiency with Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree
APICS/ CPIM certification
Planning and/or logistics experience with fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies
Data modelling experience
