The Project & Services Engineer is responsible to lead, coordinate and execute projects according to the established standards of Project management and the financial standards of business capital operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the different areas, plant, marketing, distribution, EOHS, Quality, FP&R and countries of the Region, leading the evaluation, and estimating costs of new improvement projects, savings, EOHS, quality, new products, for the different categories.
- Validate the feasibility of the implementation of each project (objectives, scope, analysis of capacity and uses, savings, financial implications).
- Ensure the necessary documentation for the approval process of the projects to be evaluated during the cost of sales and Budget review.
- Create, document and submit for approval, in BCP, each project assigned and approved by the category.
- Follow the Project Management process for each project.
- Execute each assigned investment project, complying with EOHS standards (quality, occupational health, environment and efficiency of the manufacturing plant), with the projected cash expense and with the defined schedules, carrying out the adequate control of the expense.
- Provide the necessary information to suppliers and contractors in stay in sync with the necessary specifications in each project
- Align with the requirements of Indirect Purchases for the acquisition process required according to the amounts of each project.
- Search for suppliers according to project requirements and submit it to purchases.
- Lead and design the process and instrumentation diagrams necessary for the execution of each project and provide the calculation reports.
- Make periodic evaluation of the status of projects and make forecasts of expenses according to the needs of the company.
- Create and run fixed assets arising from new projects.
- Analyze risk and contingency plans in the implementation of projects.
- Prepare the communication plan for the start, status and end of the project.
- Coordinate the MOC for managed projects.
- Ensure the capitalization of implemented projects and identification of assets in collaboration with finance.
- Handle suppliers working on projects, in accordance with the rules of operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor ́s Degree in Chemical Engineering, process automation
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
- Intermediate-advanced English level.
- Desirable Project Management experience or PMP certification.
