1. Take over and document existing systems
Learn the current applications, integrations, infrastructure and manufacturing and office workflows. Document how they work, their dependencies, routine support tasks and known issues.
2. Maintain and improve Python code
Read, debug and extend existing Python integrations, scripts, automation and internal applications. Use version control and test changes before putting them into use.
3. Support ERP integrations and data flows
Monitor existing integrations, investigate failed transfers or data discrepancies, and implement incremental fixes and improvements to established processes.
4. Work with business users and the ERP vendor
Understand operational needs, reproduce issues, describe requirements clearly, coordinate with the ERP vendor and other suppliers, and test fixes and enhancements with users.
5. Troubleshoot technical problems
Use logs, database queries and source code to investigate problems. Make careful, tested changes, document outcomes and escalate high-risk or unfamiliar issues.
6. Support on-premises IT infrastructure
Work with current IT staff to maintain and improve computers, servers, networks and supporting services used by the factory and office.

What we are looking for:
English is required: ability to read technical documentation and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, for day-to-day work.
Practical Python programming and debugging skills are required. Projects, coursework or previous work can demonstrate this; professional experience is not essential.
Ability to read and modify an existing codebase, trace how systems connect, and work through unfamiliar problems.
Basic SQL skills, familiarity with Git, and an understanding of APIs and data exchange between systems.
A methodical approach to troubleshooting, testing and documentation, with good judgment about when to ask for help.
Clear communication and willingness to learn manufacturing workflows and work with non-technical colleagues.
Reliable follow-through and a careful approach to changes affecting live business operations.
Useful experience-not all required
Linux administration, command-line tools and SSH.
Docker or other container-based environments.
Windows administration and basic networking.
ERP systems, system integrations or manufacturing-related applications.
