VMIC is a growing Hanoi-based IC design services company, specializing in Analog/Mixed-Signal design. We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled
IT Engineer to join us. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring high availability of IT infrastructure to support EDA tools, high-performance computing (HPC), storage, backup, network security and lab systems, while maintaining compliance and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure & Systems Management
+ Manage servers, workstations, HPC clusters, and virtualization systems.
+ Oversee NAS/SAN storage systems optimized for large design databases.
+ Ensure backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures operate daily.
+ Maintain high uptime for EDA environments, including license servers and compute nodes.
- Network & Security
+ Manage VPN access, firewall policies, VLAN segmentation, and network routing.
+ Ensure cybersecurity best practices:
o endpoint protection
o patching
o intrusion detection
o access control
+ Maintain secure environment compatible with foundry or customer NDA/IP restrictions.
- EDA Environment Support
+ Support CAD/Tape-out engineer with server setup, storage expansions, backups, FlexLM licensing, job scheduler (LSF/SLURM), and runtime optimization.
+ Maintain fast local and remote access for EDA workloads.
+ Monitor system performance and implement scaling strategies for future growth.
- Security Compliance & Documentation
+ Maintain logs, asset inventories, and IT documentation.
+ Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, ITAR-like restrictions, or customer requirements).
+ Implement user privilege control, role-based access, and secure data handling.
- Office
IT Support+ Maintain Office IT infrastructure daily operations.
+ Set up, configure, and monitor PCs, servers, and networks to ensure stable operation.
- User Support & Training
+ Provide daily IT support.
+ Set up new employee systems, access rights, and onboarding packages.
+ Prepare IT guidelines, usage policies, and workflow instructions.
