Lab Supervisor for Toy Testing Laboratory

An international consumer products testing, inspection and certification company, STC ([protected info]), with headquarters in Hong Kong, is looking for a high caliber candidate to fill the position of Lab Supervisor for the Toy and Children's product laboratory in Haiphong, Vietnam.
*Responsibilities:
• Perform routine laboratory testing, chemical and/or physical composition of toy products following relevant company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and methods, international safety standards (such as ASTM F963, EN71, EN62115 and CCPSA) and client requirements;
• Review and monitor operating procedures, testing methods, testing standards and resources to ensure high level of competence of work. Validate performance on methods as required.
• Ensure that effective testing methods are selected, or new methods are developed, and used to meet customer and industry test requirements safely, and with good quality technical documentation.
• Ensure the compliance to ISO 17025 and/or other applicable external accrediting laboratory standards.
• Manage the lab equipment in terms of its operational readiness, calibration, safety, preventative maintenance and rate of utilization, complete with documentation and process plans to ensure the equipment is well maintained.
• Manage laboratory and maintain the daily operations,
• Act as a subject matter expert for audits (internal and regulatory) and maintaining continuous improvement in quality.
