Job Description
Are you passionate in a new career within LEGO® Manufacturing Vietnam (LMV), part of Asia Manufacturing, that will help the LEGO Group achieve best-in-class product manufacturing?
Take an important roleto build a sustainable continuous improvement mindset across the company, the capabilities in the organization to align, simplify and improve processes, to increase problem-solving skills and to increase change readiness.
Core Responsibilities
The LCI Director will lead a team of consultants supporting a business area to deliver the business ambition through strategic and tactical implementation of CI mindset, structure and competences:
  • Drive productivity dialogues and actions that maximize resource utilization through effective LCI execution of tools, structures and mindset
  • Develop and mature the global LCI knowledge base and LCI capabilities implementation in the business area
  • Establish a global LCI network that embeds LCI behaviors and mindset across the global business area
  • Support development and deployment of the business plans and strategies direction in business area
  • Support and implementation of global and local LCI agenda and activities
  • Build LCI capabilities (mindset, structures, and competencies) in the business area globally that lead to improvements in:
    • Resources utilization
    • Customer value understanding
    • Process and standardization
    • Visual manaagment
    • Problem solving - Root causing
    • Involvment and Engagement of Employees
  • Create and roll out strategies (execution) for embedding LCI practices and mindset into business area/sites
  • Contribute to the overall global LCI strategy within TLG
  • Become an integral member of a business area leader team and assume appropriate actions therein where LCI add value
  • Provide LCI coaching and sparring to senior leadership team in the business area (including the SVP)
  • Provide strategic and tactical sparring on how to operate the business area within an LCI context
  • As a business area Leaderteam member, be part of and co-drive the mindset and changes around the 2018 Plan: Back to Growth
  • Create, implement and continuously use global LCI standards and share learnings and feedback with improvement points to Process owner and Subject Matter Experts
  • Influence, challenge and coach the business area Leaderteam to improve overall LCI capabilities with the purpose of improving results.
  • Contribute to the overall global LCI strategy within TLG through LCI networks and LCI Leaderteam Forum.
  • Advise, develop and mentor team in technical LCI issues and challenges EXPERIENCE - use bullet points to briefly describe the top 3-5 necessary functional and industrial experience (mentioned in years)
  • The position should act as sparring-partner to the senior leadership team in business area to drive the creation of a continuous improvement mindset at all organizational levels and global locations of the business area and will be an active member of the Leadership team in business area. The role is to influence, coach and challenge leaders at all levels to adopt LCI thinking practices and to demonstrate LCI behaviors.
The role will coordinate, drive and provide leadership for LCI across the individual business area through strategic and tactical implementation of LCI capability building activities. The role will advise on how to lead and develop the organization for optimal performance, scalability and flexibility.
Do you have what it takes?
Must have:
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of Lean/OPEX/CI implementation experience in a relevant environment
  • Experience in continuous improvement tools and techniques across different functions within an international corporation and familiar with systems thinking.
  • Experience in managing teams or managing large programs/project portfolio
  • Experience in the functional area operating within
  • Experience of working with senior leadership to secure mandate and support for creating a continuous improvement culture
  • Experience as an internal or external consultant/coach at senior leadership level
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Strong communication skills and proficient in verbal and written English and Vietnamese
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Flexibility in working hours
