Legal Specialist

Position Description & Responsibilities
SHOPLINE, a fast growing omni-channel e-commerce enabler headquartered in Hong Kong, is now seeking a legal specialist in Taiwan to support its continued expansion in the region. This legal specialist position will work together with and/or report to Legal Manager based in Taiwan, with the primary responsibilities to provide legal support on transactional and operational matters, as well as assisting the compliance and regulatory functions in Taiwan

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (e.g. merchant, partnership or supplier agreements) and other legal documents, and advise business teams on key contractual issues
2. Periodically review and refresh terms and conditions pertaining to various SHOPLINE businesses
3. Work closely with business teams to provide legal support and analysis on existing business practices and forthcoming projects
4. Provide support on compliance matters, communicating with governmental departments and other stakeholders
5. Provide legal and compliance support and analysis on new products to be rolled out by SHOPLINE

QUALIFICATIONS
1. Undergraduate or graduate degree in Law
2. Around 1-3 years of experience working as legal at a reputable law firm or in-house legal/compliance role in Taiwan
3. Proactive in problem-solving, detailed-oriented, able to think critically and work under tight timeline
4. Experience in tech industry, e-commerce, data privacy and/or cybersecurity matters will be an advantage
5. Strong communications skills, fluent written and spoken English
