Manager, AI Engineering

Job Purpose
Lead the engineering, delivery, and operation of enterprise AI solutions that drive business value for Techcombank.
The role is responsible for building scalable AI applications and platforms leveraging Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, and intelligent automation technologies. The incumbent will establish engineering standards, drive AI adoption across business units, and lead a high-performing team to deliver secure, reliable, and production-ready AI solutions.
Key Accountabilities
AI Solution Delivery
Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered applications and services to support business and operational objectives.
Partner with business stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-value AI use cases.
Translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions and implementation roadmaps.
Drive adoption of Generative AI, LLM, RAG, Agentic AI, and intelligent automation technologies across the organization.
Ensure AI solutions achieve targeted business outcomes, user experience, and operational efficiency.
2. AI Engineering & Architecture
Define architecture patterns and engineering standards for enterprise AI solutions.
Design scalable, secure, and resilient AI applications capable of operating in production environments.
Lead the development of reusable AI services, APIs, components, and frameworks to accelerate solution delivery.
Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise platforms and business applications.
Drive optimization of AI solution performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
3. AI Platform
Lead the implementation and evolution of AI platform capabilities to support development, deployment, monitoring, and operation of AI applications.
Establish standards for AI development lifecycle, testing, deployment automation, observability, and operational support.
Oversee AI infrastructure utilization, performance monitoring, and platform optimization.
Ensure AI platforms operate securely and efficiently in accordance with enterprise technology standards.
4. Stakeholder & Project Management
Lead end-to-end AI project delivery, including planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management.
Collaborate closely with Technology, Data, Operations, Risk, and Business teams to ensure successful implementation.
Manage project dependencies, delivery timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
Drive Agile delivery practices and continuous improvement across AI initiatives.
Communicate project progress, technical decisions, and business outcomes to senior stakeholders.
5. People Leadership
Build and lead a high-performing team of AI Engineers and AI Solution Specialists.
Set team objectives, performance expectations, and development plans.
Coach and mentor team members to strengthen technical and leadership capabilities.
Promote innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Attract, develop, and retain top AI engineering talent.
Work Experience
8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, AI Engineering, or related technology domains.
3+ years of experience leading engineering or AI teams.
Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions from concept to production.
Strong experience with Generative AI, LLM applications, RAG architectures, AI Agents, and AI orchestration frameworks.
Experience building scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
Hands-on experience with Python and modern AI frameworks and toolchains.
Familiarity with vector databases, knowledge retrieval systems, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
