Manager-Avp, Internal Audit

1. Job Purpose:
To provide risk-based, independent and objective assurance to evaluate and improve on the risk management, control, anti-corruption, whistleblowing and governance processes of Maybank Securities Vietnam (MSVN).
2. Accountability:
**Assist in developing the engagement audit plans for units assigned.
- Identify and assess risks relevant to the activities under review in order to establish the audit plan.
- Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with the Group Audit's audit methodology, compliance with local requirements and conformance to the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
- Prepare the audit work schedules which include objectives of the audits and budgeted man-hours.
**Execute the audits based on the approved engagement audit plan.
- Perform the audits to ensure timely completion of the Annual Audit Plan.
- Ensure that audit work programs are adequate to achieve the intended audit purpose, objectives and scope.
- Ensure that the audit working paper is adequately prepared to document the audit testing results and support the assessment and conclusion.
- Discuss the results of the audits with the auditees and obtain their feedback prior to concluding on the audits.
**Communicate the audit results
- Prepare audit reports and ensure the audit assessment and conclusion are appropriate derived based on the audit testing done and is correctly reflecting the actual state of risk management and internal controls at the business units.
- Provide specific, practical, value-add recommendations to address control weaknesses detected and help Management to mitigate risk and improve the system of risk management and internal controls.
- Review and ensure the responses and action plans formulated by the Management are holistic to address the audit issues and root causes to prevent recurrence.
**Track, validate and report resolution of audit findings
- Closely monitor the remediation of audit findings against the committed timeline.
- Validate the closure of the audit findings by reviewing the action plans implemented by the Management.
