Manager, Operations (Trade Finance)

Job Purpose Summary:
The job holder is to plan and manage the smooth operations of the Trade Finance and deliver related projects.
Besides ensuring the compliance with the Bank's credit policies and statutory provisions, the job holder will be expected to develop and involve in talent development Trade Finance team.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Functional (job responsibilities)
1. Lead team plan and manage the processing of Trade Finance team for Business and Corporate Banking (BCB) customers. Acts as the main coordinator on SWIFT and FI correspondences.
2. Responsible for the day-to-day operations and projects of Trade Finance are compliant with internal operating procedures and external regulatory guidelines and achieve
3. Ensure the provision of adequate and efficient processing services pertaining to clients, resolving their queries/ problems and thereby help them serve their respective external customers in a more efficient manner.
4. Formulate system and work processes and process improvements for a holistic approach to operational and projects' requirements. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successfully delivery of systems, work processes, process improvements and projects' initiatives.
5. Manage and maintaining cordial relationship between business units and other parties as well as handling enquiries/requests
6. Champion the operation service model and projects initiatives to constantly seek out improvements for existing and future services and processes to achieve operational excellence.
7. Establish and ensure that the minimum standard service turnaround time for completion of documentation and other service level criteria are met.
8. Assess, develop, lead and motivate staff to work towards achieving their respective individual targets.
9. Carry out other duties assigned by Line Manager.
Managerial (team/group responsibilities)
1. Manage & coach the team of 3-5 staff to drive performance with a hands-on style, high productivity, and service quality.
2. Set expectations for staff, fostering a motivating environment in which team members' work together to achieve business goals.
Organizational (organizational responsibilities)
