Manager, Valuation and Finanancial Reporting (IFRS17)

JOB PURPOSE:
• In charge of the full implementation of IFRS17 and ensure compliance with IFRS 17 standard.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that the transition from IFRS4 to IFRS17 is smooth, including documentation. Ensure the continuation of IFRS 17 framework after implementation phase.
• Conduct IFRS 17 related trainings to junior staff of actuarial department
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• In charge of recommending and implementing changes to the set up of Valuation model to support the IFRS17 runs. Prepare documentations, quantify incremental impacts, and communicate to the key stakeholders. (20%)
• In charge of recommending the IFRS17 assumptions, including but not limited to expenses and discount rate. Prepare the documentations to justify the proposed assumptions and presenting the proposal to the key stakeholders. (20%)
• In charge of coordinating with IT to prepare the automated extracts to be loaded into Valuation model. Test the extracts and resolve defects identified. (20%)
• Accountable for the financial positions for Business Plan and quantify the product profitability under IFRS17. Advise feature of new products in view of IFRS 17 implications. (20%)
• Proactively response/seek advice to resolve questions/requests raised from stakeholders related to above tasks if any. (10%)
• Other related tasks assigned by Line Manager. (10%)
