Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes for assembly operations. This role will focus on developing the assembly line for a complex product, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the assembly department.
• Process Development & Optimization (30%)
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new products.
- Set up electromechanical Assembly and test line from concept to start of production
- Develop all necessary tools and fixtures together with 3rd parties if necessary
- Generate Standard work instructions for future operators
- Organize technical training of operators
- Analyze and improve assembly processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Production Support (20%)
- Provide technical support to assembly line operators and technicians.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the assembly process.
- Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Quality Assurance (15%)
- Collaborate with the quality team to ensure assembly processes meet quality standards.
- Implement process controls to maintain high-quality output.
- Lead root cause analysis for any defects or quality issues in the assembly process.
• Continuous Improvement (10%)
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements in assembly operations.
- Conduct time studies and implement standard work practices.
• Equipment & Tooling Management (10%)
- Specify, procure, and validate assembly equipment and tooling.
- Ensure regular maintenance and calibration of assembly tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve tooling and equipment performance.
• Documentation & Training (10%)
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and assembly procedures.
- Train assembly line staff on new processes, tools, and equipment.
• Safety & Compliance (5%)
- Ensure all assembly processes comply with company safety policies and industry regulations.
- Participate in safety audits and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Work closely with design and product engineering teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs.
