Our Material Handling Division, including Mi-Jack RTG cranes, Broderson industrial cranes, Lift King forklifts, and Greenfield equipment, is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems and components used in material handling equipment. This position works closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to support engineering documentation, prototype development, manufacturing support, and product validation activities while ensuring compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and engineering best practices.
Essential Functions:
• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new and existing products.
• Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems for new and existing products.
• Prepare component and system drawings including layouts, assemblies, and installation drawings.
• Support engineering change notices (ECNs) and drawing release processes within a structured engineering environment.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis to support product design and development.
• Assist with prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and product validation activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing,
purchasing, and service teams to support product improvements and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.
• Identify appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to support product quality and manufacturability.
• Participate in departmental meetings and provide project status updates to supervisors or senior engineers.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Ensure compliance in all safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
