Mid/Sr Backend Software Engineer Cum - Data Extraction

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer as well as a Data Scraping expert.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining web scraping pipelines to extract data to support our customer request. Requests from customers often come in unexpectedly, you should quickly make a plan and collaborate with team members to process the request.

When the time comes, our target is to integrate your scraping logic with the existing code to streamline and automate the process. This requires you to write clean, modular, robust code..

You should be able to develop new features from scratch but also willing to get into existing code to add new capabilities and improve the quality. You will also assist in deploying and managing applications on Google Cloud.

This highly motivated individual needs to be independent, hands-on with code, highly technical and not afraid to get into existing code; always ready for unexpected client's requests and ensure delivery on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

As a Scraping expert:

• Design and develop web scraping/data crawling solutions using the following stacks: Selenium, Scrapy, 2captcha, proxies, XPath, css selectors, browser fingerprinting, reCAPTCHA, Distil Networks bypass, multilogin.
• Process/sink data from/to big DBs, CSVs.
• Constantly improve your scraping techniques and analyze crawling processes.
• Build parsing and normalization solutions for multiple data sources.
• Stay on top of reliability and data quality by implementing automated quality assurance and monitoring solutions.

As a Backend Developer:

• Actively participate in requirements analysis and design.
• Implement key product features for our B2B SaaS products, primarily using Python
• Write modular, reusable, well tested code and the associated internal documentation
• Support the deployment of code to Google Cloud (GCP) and the implementation of robust management and monitoring tools to ensure maximum reliability of our services
• Work with the rest of the development team to develop and document best practices, and ensure they are followed by code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Support the QA team in creating thorough automated tests for all components
• Facilitate Continuous Deployment from our GitHub code repositories to GCP

You must have:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related study
• Strong experience with techniques and tools for crawling, extracting, and processing data
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing using Python for backend with some or all of Celery, Django, Flask, Nameko, Kafka, MongoDB
• Hands-on experience with GCP and/or AWS
• Hands-on automation test with Python
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience working in an agile development environment using GitHub
• Ability to diagnose and resolve problems independently, including consulting online resources and effectively asking the developer community for help
• A strong desire to stay up to date with evolving standards, best practices and tools in cloud architecture

Ideally you will also have:

• Experience building micro services based architectures
• Experience with systems security
• Knowledge of the Sales and CRM domains
• Experience with big data or related technologies

The company is a data intelligence and AI company, building products and technology to help enterprise sales teams and large tech companies. We are about 10 people, looking to bring on

Working hours & Benefits

• Regular working hours of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Indochine Time, with an 8-hour workday and 20 workdays per month. If you choose to work more than 20 days in a month, you may carry forward time off credits for the extra days worked.
