Music Specialist

Design / Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

OBJECTIVES

Deliver the best music experience to customers by creating innovative ways to interact with music through gameplay. Ensure high-quality listening and playing experience to end users.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be responsible for the musical direction of the game.
Create and monitor the Audio design of the assigned game
Provide suitable songs and SFX for the game (UI/UX, gameplay, character action...)
Understand the selling point of the game and the game design direction to assist and collaborate with the level designers to deliver final in-game content.
Playtest, review and feedback gameplay with peer to deliver the best experience to end-users
Write documentation that describes the audio production process.
Quality assurance for the game's final output in terms of audio Support product teams to choose suitable audio clips and curate song lists.
Consulting and processing the sound quality for the best experience when playing through the speakers/headphones of various devices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Understanding of music theory, background in music production with an ear for musical transcription
Extensive knowledge of popular music across a range of styles and an understanding of how music plays a part of people's lifestyles
Some experience in game development, in particular content design and experience with Unity preferred. At a minimum you must have a passion for games.
Effective communication skills both verbal and written/ presentation manner
Good in critical thinking, time management skill and problem solving ability.
Adaptable and user-oriented mindset.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience with Wwise
Experience with DAWs such as Ableton, FLstudio,...
Knowledge of MIDI programming
Playing 1(+) instrument well
