Ongoing Product Development (Opd) Engineer

The Ongoing Product Development (OPD) Engineer is responsible for managing and executing engineering changes for active vehicle models. This role ensures that all design modifications maintain the highest quality standards while adhering to rigorous program management and process disciplines. The successful candidate will act as a key bridge between the plant, regional program teams, and finance to drive product excellence and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Engineering Change Management: Lead the delivery of OPD engineering changes, ensuring all modifications meet quality standards and follow established Program Management protocols.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate consensus on engineering content for design changes prior to presentation at executive leadership forums or approval committees.
• Technical Documentation: Take ownership of the technical content within Change Request Forms (CRF), ensuring accuracy and completeness for all requests raised.
• Financial & Operational Support: Partner with the Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) and Finance to join the cost reviews meeting and business case analyses.
• Regional Collaboration: Work closely with the broader Regional Program Management team to ensure product attributes, procurement, manufacturing, homologation, and launch requirements are met across all markets.
• Ad-hoc Projects: Execute additional tasks and strategic initiatives as assigned by Department Leadership.
