Packaging Developer

JOB SUMMARY
The Packaging Developer assists for the Senior Development Technician as well as works with PLM team/ Marketing team / Development team/costing and our T1/T2, Responsible for the packaging of the product from the Development process into Mass Production.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Packaging and Finishing
• Manage packaging development timeline, and to ensure the packaging items are developed in time before the product 'Buy-ready'.
• Implementing of works related to techniques, product standards.
• Providing technical support on quality issues in the responsible category.
• Monitor status of existing and new regulations/legislations, provide regulatory guidance and communicate regulatory progress to the related teams.
• Update and maintain the packaging specification database.
• Follow up and co-ordinate with other departments for packaging related issues such as new product development to ensure that the quality and timeline of packaging is suitable for new products.
• Test and qualify new packaging suppliers as well as alternative packaging materials.
• Issue packaging specification to related department.
• Support QA and Production team in solving Packaging material problem.
Factory Instructions
• Work with the factories to implement all assigned tasks.
• Own and maintain packaging instructions of all products.
• Support factories to ensure strict compliance following shipping instructions.
Quality Control
• Assists other Developers to check all samples when needed.
• Assists other Developers to do inline and final SMS inspection when needed.
• Assists other Developers to check spec/strike off when needed.
• New style Assist the team when needed.

• The Packaging Developer is authorized to take reasonable action necessary to carry out responsibilities consistent with the general guidance of the Packaging manager. The Packaging Developer is directly responsible to the Packaging manager.
