Packaging Development Specialist

Summary:
The person in this role will deliver Packaging Development activities in the Asia Pac region with a focus on mainly China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and India, she/he will work closely with HQ project management team, AM team and local costing, QM, and operation team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan, drive and lead for packaging projects with packaging suppliers from conception to completion to ensure a smooth development process
• Maintain and partners with suppliers and packaging agencies to ensure the latest market and technology developments are known and communicated
• Ensure effective communications with WHQ
• Identify quality improvement; support to manufacturing facilities as needed
• Develop, review and recommend improvements for process improvement on cross-functional collaboration
• Analyze Product feasibility; spec. identification and sourcing strategy
• Manage Supplier performance; Development Process and Timeline/Schedule
• Supporting design studio; Interacting with Quality & FSR teams; Collaborating costing and sourcing team
• Provide strategic insight and consulting as it relates to packaging program and new initiatives for packaging, sustainability
• Accountable for quality of new packaging development
• Accountable for timeline/scheduling of new packaging development
Additional responsibilities include timely responses to leads, communicating effectively with a professional appearance both internally and externally, the ability to organize and tackle multiple projects efficiently and work as an integral part of the packaging team department to increase new business and generate leads.
