About Us:
We are an international manufacturing group with headquarters in Spain and production operations in Europe, Asia and Latin America. To support the growth of our Vietnamese plant, we are looking for an experienced Plant Engineer to lead daily production operations at our plastics extrusion facility in the Binh Duong / Ho Chi Minh City area.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Head of Production at our headquarters, you will be responsible for the efficient, safe and high-quality running of the plant. You will lead a team of around 10 people, manage raw material and finished goods inventory, and ensure that production meets agreed targets for output, quality and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team leadership: Supervise, train and motivate a team of approximately 10 operators, technicians and warehouse staff; plan shifts and assign tasks.
• Production management: Plan and control daily extrusion production to meet volume, delivery and efficiency targets (OEE, scrap rate, downtime).
• Process control: Monitor and optimise extrusion parameters (temperature profiles, screw speed, line speed, thickness/gauge) to ensure stable, efficient processes.
• Quality control: Implement and maintain quality inspections at incoming material, in-process and final product stages; manage non-conformities, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Inventory control: Manage stock of raw materials (resins, additives, masterbatches) and finished goods; perform regular stock counts and reconcile physical vs. system inventory.
• Material planning: Forecast raw material needs, coordinate
purchasing and minimise stock-outs, excess inventory and obsolete material.
• Maintenance coordination: Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of extrusion lines and auxiliary equipment.
• Health & safety: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and housekeeping standards (5S).
• Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports in English on production, quality, scrap, stock levels and KPIs for the Head of Production at headquarters.
• Continuous improvement: Identify and lead cost reduction and process improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen).
