Anticipate policy issues across emerging Generative AI risks (e.g., manipulated media, deep fakes), civics and misinformation, and data privacy as it relates to our product and technology platforms. Develop policies and enforcement recommendations on how to address them.
Lead, develop, and implement content policies for Google products, with a view towards user safety, product quality, and privacy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to ensure policy analysis and recommendations consider all teams perspectives. Resolve high-profile policy issues, coming from the public, users, and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence product decisions and improve user experience regarding policy issues. Research and set industry standards to increase awareness and understanding of product policies internally and externally.
Review or be exposed to sensitive or graphic content as part of the core role.

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust & Safety, or technology environment.
Experience in product/program management and using data to address problems
Experience with strategy and stakeholder engagement.
Experience with technology policy, particularly issues like harmful content, privacy, and AI.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Public Policy.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a dynamic environment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$185,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
